According to a leaked report dated August 21 and obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, the committee flagged concerns around the process used to invite players to national-team camps, including allegations involving NFF board members, management staff and coaches.
The report alleged that some officials influenced the invitation of players both locally and internationally, while coaches and team officials may have used national-team call-ups as a potential source of financial benefit.
The committee also highlighted allegations that certain NFF officials and coaches could have received incentives in exchange for influencing decisions surrounding national-team invitations.
However, the report did not identify any individuals and, importantly, did not present the allegations as established wrongdoing. Instead, the committee recommended that the NFF put mechanisms in place to verify the claims before taking any action.
The findings form part of a broader investigation into the problems affecting Nigerian football following the Super Falcons' failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Nigeria's hopes of extending their record of appearing at every Women's World Cup since the tournament began in 1991 ended after a 2-1 defeat to South Africa in the WAFCON play-off.
The six-member committee, chaired by former NFF General Secretary Fanny Amun, also examined concerns over how national-team delegations are managed and paid.
It raised concerns about disparities in compensation, noting claims that board members and management staff receive payments while players and their officials are left unpaid.
The committee recommended a more equitable compensation structure, as well as stronger technical oversight and selection based on fitness and performance.
Beyond the Super Falcons, the report called for wider reforms covering domestic leagues, grassroots football, coaching education, data management and NFF governance.
The NFF has yet to publicly respond to the allegations or outline how it intends to implement the committee's recommendations.
