The 22-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year contract with the Istanbul club in a deal reportedly worth 12 million euros, according to L'Equipe. Nice have also secured a 10% sell-on clause as part of the agreement.
Oppong Peprah heads to Turkey following an impressive debut campaign in France, where he quickly established himself as an important figure in Nice's defence.
The Ghanaian made 43 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, including 29 Ligue 1 outings.
His rapid rise has been particularly impressive given that he only joined Nice from Swedish club IFK Norrkoping in 2025. The French side reportedly paid around 2.7 million euros for his services, meaning they have now made a significant profit on the defender just 12 months later.
Fenerbahce's decision to invest heavily in the young centre-back reflects the progress he has made since arriving in Europe.
Following his unveiling in Istanbul, Oppong Peprah could not hide his excitement about starting the next chapter of his career.
"I am very happy to be with this family. I just can't wait to get started. I'm so happy to be here," he was quoted as saying by Pan African Football.
The defender also revealed that fellow Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku played a role in his decision to join Fenerbahce.
Djiku spent two seasons with the Turkish giants between 2023 and 2025 and understands the expectations that come with representing one of the country's biggest clubs.
His positive assessment of life at Fenerbahce helped convince Oppong Peprah that the move was the right step in his career.
Now, the Ghanaian will look to build on his breakthrough season in France and establish himself as a key player at one of Turkey's most ambitious clubs.
