Man Utd await Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui injury updates before Spurs clash

United welcome Spurs to Old Trafford on Saturday evening, but their defensive options have been hit by injuries sustained during the international break.

Dorgu and Mazraoui are the only senior, experienced players available to cover at left-back when Luke Shaw is unavailable. Dorgu appeared to suffer a non-contact injury while playing for Denmark against Wales and was immediately taken off. He subsequently left the Denmark camp and returned to Manchester for further medical assessments.

Dorgu's problem is reportedly a hamstring injury, a particularly worrying development given that a similar issue sidelined him for almost three months during the 2025/2026 season.

Mazraoui, meanwhile, picked up an injury following a collision while representing Morocco against Lesotho in an African Cup of Nations qualifier last Tuesday.

The defender was subsequently ruled out of Morocco's friendly with Mali on Sunday, while United are still waiting for further details regarding the seriousness of the problem.

Mazraoui has featured five times for United across all competitions this season, starting three matches.

Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo are also being assessed after both played in United's draw with Fulham before withdrawing from England duty.

There is better news elsewhere, with Amad Diallo and Matthijs de Ligt nearing returns, although neither has played this season. Benjamin Sesko remains a doubt for Saturday's meeting with Tottenham.
