Morocco set to appeal CAF sanctions for AFCON 2025 final chaos

The Moroccan federation (FRMF) was fined a total of USD 315,000 last month alongside bans for defender and captain Achraf Hakimi (two-match ban) and forward Ismael Saibari (three-match ban).

In a statement, the FRMF confirmed that it would lodge an appeal "in order to preserve all rights guaranteed by the regulations", while citing "non-conformity of these sanctions with the extent and seriousness of the incidents that occurred".

Meanwhile, the Senegal Football Federation also said it will appeal the sanctions which include fines of USD 615,000 in total and two-match suspensions for English Premier League based duo Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaila Sarr plus a five-match ban for coach Pape Thiaw.
