Bayern Munich begin talks with Newcastle United over Anthony Gordon

According to SkySports, the 25-year-old has been on the German giants radar since the start of the year, with the Magpies thought to be open to selling the attacker.

Gordon has made 152 appearances for the Toons since joining the club in 2023 from Everton, scoring 39 goals while providing 28 assists for the club.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe distanced himself from the transfer rumors regarding the English attacker at the press conference ahead of Nottingham Forest league  clash.

"That is not something I'm involved in," said Howe to reporters.

"It is difficult for me to comment on individual players and timescales. It is an area that is not my forte. I discuss things with players all the time. I don't necessarily discuss transfer speculation unless I feel it's got to a point that I have to.

"After I had the chat with Sandro (Tonali), the biggest thing I look for is the commitment to training because if I see that, the player will perform. That will be the same with Anthony and every player."

The £45million pound signing whose contract ends in July 2030 is also reportedly on the radar of Premier League leaders Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
