Captain Joshua Kimmich, young winger Lennart Karl and midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic all provided assists as Julian Nagelsmann's side produced a dominant display.
Kimmich started at right-back, while Pavlovic controlled the midfield alongside Lukas Nmecha. Karl was handed his first start for Germany on the right wing and marked the occasion with a fine contribution.
New Bayern signing Jonathan Tah also impressed at the heart of the defence alongside Nico Schlotterbeck, helping Germany secure a clean sheet. Leon Goretzka remained on the bench throughout the match but is still expected to be an important figure for Germany during the World Cup.
One of the biggest positives for Nagelsmann was the performance of Jamal Musiala. The Bayern playmaker started in the number ten role behind striker Deniz Undav and looked sharp throughout the contest. Musiala scored one of Germany's four goals in what was his first start for the national team in a considerable period.
The 22-year-old has endured a challenging year after suffering a serious injury against Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup last June. However, he finished the domestic season strongly with Bayern and carried that form into international duty. His goal against Finland should provide another significant boost to his confidence ahead of the World Cup.
Germany also avoided a potential injury concern when Undav, who scored twice and provided an assist, was substituted shortly after the hour mark. Early reports suggested the striker's injury was not serious, and he is expected to be available for the upcoming friendly against the United States on June 6.
Manuel Neuer was absent from the match despite recently reversing his decision to retire from international football. The veteran goalkeeper is still recovering from a minor calf problem that also ruled him out of last week's DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart. Oliver Baumann started in goal against Finland, while Germany hope Neuer will return in time for the World Cup warm-up matches and be fully fit before their tournament opener against Curacao on June 14.
After the victory, Kimmich praised Germany's all-round performance.
"We hardly conceded any chances over 90 minutes - in fact, none at all - and we deserved to win," said the Germany captain.
"We wanted to bring our high pressing onto the pitch as much as possible, and we scored a goal through Undav from that.
"We also scored from a counter-attack and from a set piece. It had everything."
Kimmich also stressed the importance of turning Germany's talent into performances on the biggest stage.
"We have a lot of talent, and we need to bring that talent onto the pitch."
Germany will begin their World Cup campaign in Group E, where they will face Curacao, Ivory Coast and Ecuador between June 14 and June 25.
