Bellingham rejoined his team-mates at the Valdebebas training centre this week following an extended post-World Cup break, making him the last Madrid player to return for pre-season.
The 2026 World Cup proved a memorable tournament for Bellingham, who scored seven goals as England reached the semi-finals before losing to Argentina. He is now eager to turn his attention back to Madrid and work under Mourinho, who has returned to the club for a second spell.
"I feel like I already have a relationship with (Mourinho)," Bellingham told Real Madrid TV. "It's a dream for me to work with a coach like Mourinho. I've only had one chance to see him, but I'm very excited to see what he's like."
Mourinho has been tasked with reviving Madrid after a disappointing campaign last season. Xabi Alonso was dismissed in January after 34 matches, while Alvaro Arbeloa subsequently took charge until the end of the campaign.
Madrid finished second in LaLiga, eight points behind Barcelona, and were eliminated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals without winning a major trophy.
The club have strengthened their squad during the transfer window with the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Espí.
Bellingham, who made 40 appearances last season and contributed eight goals and five assists, believes the changes can help Madrid return to winning ways.
"I'm a bit more mature now, I have more experience," he said. "I have a good feeling about this season with the new signings and the coach.
"It's an honour and a privilege for me to play for this club. I hope it will be for many more years."
