The 23-year-old forward completed his move from Osasuna in June before joining up with the Spain squad that lifted the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After a short holiday, Munoz reported for his first training session with his new teammates this week.
Although proud of becoming a world champion, Munoz said his full focus is now on helping Liverpool compete for trophies.
"It was an unforgettable experience at the World Cup," he said in an interview with the Liverpool website. "It was something I dreamed about from a very young age and something I never thought I would experience. But that is behind me now and I come here full of ambition for Liverpool."
Munoz admitted the transfer happened quickly while he was away with Spain, but said accepting Liverpool's offer was an easy decision after speaking with his family.
"It all happened very fast," he said. "I was with the Spain squad at the World Cup, so I couldn't travel to Liverpool at the time. I discussed everything with my family and we had no doubts. It was the right move for me and I am very happy to be here."
The Spaniard said he immediately felt welcome after arriving at the AXA Training Centre, praising both his teammates and the coaching staff for helping him settle into his new surroundings.
"My teammates have been very helpful from the first day," he said. "They explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable. My first training session was very good and I already feel great here."
Munoz also revealed that head coach Andoni Iraola played a key role in convincing him that Liverpool was the right place to continue his development.
"He told me he had a lot of confidence in me," Munoz said. "He knows I am still a young player and said he wants to help me develop and improve at this great club and at Anfield."
The winger believes Iraola's attacking style of football suits his own strengths.
"He likes his wingers to play high and wide and his teams press with intensity," Munoz said. "That fits my game very well and I hope I can bring those qualities to Liverpool."
Munoz even decided to cut short his post-World Cup holiday to begin pre-season early, saying he wanted extra time to adapt to a new club, new teammates and a new country.
"The earlier I could get here, the better," he said. "I wanted to train, meet my teammates and start adapting as quickly as possible."
The forward added that training alongside Liverpool's established stars will only help raise his own level.
"This squad is full of world-class players," he said. "Training and playing with them can only help me improve and get used to the demands of the Premier League."
After completing his first session, Munoz said he already feels physically ready and hopes to feature in Liverpool's pre-season friendly against AS Monaco if selected.
"I think I'm ready," he said. "If the coach wants me to play, I'll be there. I can't wait to get started."
Munoz finished by making his ambitions clear as he begins the next chapter of his career.
"I come here full of ambition," he said. "I have a lot to give to the team and I'm sure the team will help bring out the best in me. I want to give everything I can to Liverpool and help the club achieve its ambitions."
