Alejandro Garnacho finds balance as fatherhood fuels Chelsea focus

The 21-year-old revealed the birth of his son Enzo two and a half years ago reshaped his priorities, giving him a new sense of responsibility away from the pitch.

"Being a dad is incredible," Garnacho said. "It changes your life completely. My son is the main thing, and I always try to do my best to be a good father. I'm really, really happy to have my boy."

He added: "He's always smiling. He loves football and always wants to play with me. I'm really proud to be there for him."

Garnacho spoke about a special moment when he first walked out at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player, with his son by his side.

"To have pictures of me and him, both in the Chelsea kit, these are the special moments in life," he said.

The Argentina international also reflected on his journey to the top, having left Atlético Madrid at just 16 to join Manchester United.

"It was because of my dad," Garnacho explained. "When I was five or six, he was driving me to every training session and every game. He was always there. I'm really proud to have a family like this."

Addressing perceptions about his personality, Garnacho added: "People just see the player, but there is a person behind that. Some people think things about me that are not true because they don't know me. What matters is my family and the people around me."

Now settled near Chelsea's Cobham training base, Garnacho described a calm and disciplined lifestyle built around football and family.

"I wake up, go to training, then after that I might do gym or treatment," he said. "Then I go home and spend time with my son. I like to watch films, rest, and keep things simple. I like this life because it's calm."

Garnacho's focus will now shift back to the pitch, with Chelsea preparing to face his former club Manchester United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, April 18. They will then travel to take on Brighton on Tuesday, April 21, as the winger looks to carry his off-field happiness into strong performances on it.
