The Super Lig outfit also revealed that the 34-year-old is due to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday as negotiations continue. Salah became available after bringing his nine-year spell at Liverpool to an end following last season.

"The player is planned to reach Trabzon in the evening of the same day," Trabzonspor said.

"The time and other details regarding the welcome program in Trabzon will be shared with the public through our club's official communication channels during the day."

During his time at Anfield, Salah established himself as one of the club's greatest modern players. He amassed 257 goals and 120 assists in 442 appearances while helping Liverpool lift two Premier League trophies, the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two EFL Cups and the Community Shield. Individually, he claimed four Premier League Golden Boots and was voted PFA Player of the Year in 2018, 2022 and 2025.

Salah also featured for Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the Pharaohs progressed to the last 16 before suffering a 3-2 defeat to eventual finalists Argentina.

Nicknamed the Black Sea Storm, Trabzonspor are based in the north-eastern city of Trabzon and are one of only six clubs to have won the Turkish Super Lig.
