Durban City confirm new signings including Gaston Sirino ahead of new season

The newly promoted club continues to reshape its squad after already securing the services of Bandile Shandu and Tashreeq Morris earlier in the transfer window. The latest arrivals underline Durban City's determination to establish themselves in the top flight.

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker Sirino is the headline acquisition, while ex-Orlando Pirates defender Seth Green adds further top-flight experience to the squad.

Joining the duo are Junior Papier, Kabelo Mofokeng, Lifa Makua, Siyabonga Msomi, John Mokone and Tylo Sanger, all of whom have already linked up with the team for pre-season preparations under the club's technical staff.

The influx of new players is expected to strengthen Durban City in key areas as they gear up for the challenges of the 2026/27 campaign following their promotion to South Africa's top division.

Supporters will get an early glimpse of the revamped squad this weekend when Durban City takes part in the KZN Premier's Cup. The pre-season tournament will be staged at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday before concluding at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday.

Durban City begin their campaign against Richards Bay in Saturday's playoff fixture, providing the club's latest recruits with an immediate opportunity to impress in their new colours.
