Junior Zindoga says TS Galaxy players must take responsibility for Adnan Beganovic sacking

The Bosnian was let go after a woeful run of results, with the club down in 12th place on the Betway Premiership standings, with just four matches of the season remaining and a Nedbank Cup final to play against Durban city.

Galaxy went 11 league games without a win under Beganovic, losing nine and drawing two.

Bernard Parker has since taken temporary charge of the team and has been tasked with securing their status, as they currently sit just five points clear of the relegation/promotion play-off spot.

He will also be expected to deliver a second Nedbank Cup title after the club's famous showpiece win over Kaizer Chiefs in the 2019 final.

Speaking ahead of the clash at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, Zindoga said on FARPost: "I think it's part of football [the coach's exit], it's unfortunate, and as the 11 players on the pitch, those on the bench and in the stands, we take responsibility. It's our fault, we did let the gaffer down.

"We tried to execute his plans as much as possible, but as footballers, we have to always be professional. We wish him well.

“But right now we have to focus on our remaining games. We just have to be responsible as professional athletes.”
