Nine players leave Durban City ahead of the new season

City announced on their club website and social media that Terrence Mashego, Taahir Goedeman, Ronaldo Maarman and Siphiwe Mahlangu have returned to their parent clubs after spending the 2025/26 season in Durban.

Meanwhile, Falakhe Tshanini, Odwa Nyulu, Onele Rulwana, Lindokuhle Chonco and Joslin Kamatuka will also be leaving the team following the expiry of their contracts on June 30.

The Durban-based club will be keen to improve on their eighth-place finish in the Betway Premiership last season under interim coach Pitso Dladla, who has since joined KwaZulu-Natal rivals Golden Arrows.

New head coach Khalil Ben Yousseff will be tasked with rebuilding the squad that won the 2025/26 Nedbank Cup whilst attempting to navigate the club through their first CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
