Pedersen finalised his medical examinations and completed all transfer documentation during Pirates' pre-season camp in Spain, but the timing of his travel meant he was unavailable for the side's 2-0 victory over Milford at Orlando Amstel Arena.
The Buccaneers announced the 27-year-old's arrival last week after securing his transfer from Norwegian outfit Sogndal on a three-year agreement, which also includes an option for a further season.
He will now join the squad following their delayed return as preparations continue for the next stage of the season.
The move has been warmly received by Pirates supporters, while head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou believes the forward will add a different dimension to the club's attacking options.
"Look, Sebastien will for sure join us. I think he has a profile that can help us with the others. We have [Boitumelo] Radiopane, we have [Yanela] Mbuthuma, we have [Evidence] Makgopa, we have [Sifiso] Luthuli," Ouaddou said.
"So he will be part of the competition. I think he's somebody who is enjoying coming to South Africa in a big club. We're expecting him, and I hope to get him quickly in our group. And I think the fans as well, they're expecting him. They are very impatient to see him."
Pedersen brings an impressive record, having produced 59 goals and nine assists in 166 senior appearances across all competitions. He also represented Norway from Under-16 through to Under-21 level, scoring seven times in 23 youth international matches before embarking on this latest chapter of his career.
