The move comes after Mozambique thrashed Sudan 4-1 in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group J qualifier at Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto last Tuesday.
Wilson, who wears the No. 15 shirt for the Mambas, is at the centre of the dispute after Sudan raised questions over whether he completed the required process to change his international allegiance from Portugal to Mozambique.
According to the SFA, as reported by Africa Top Sports, Wilson previously represented Portugal at youth international level.
The Sudanese federation claims it has not been provided with official documentation or a decision confirming that the defender successfully changed his sporting nationality in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The SFA argues that the absence of such documentation raises questions over whether Wilson was eligible to represent Mozambique in an official international competition.
The federation has consequently asked CAF to investigate whether the necessary procedures were followed before Wilson was selected by the Mambas.
The complaint has reportedly been referred to the CAF Competitions Committee, which is expected to examine the matter and determine whether Wilson's participation complied with the applicable FIFA and CAF eligibility regulations.
The case could have consequences for matches in which Wilson featured if CAF ultimately determines that he was ineligible to play for Mozambique.
However, no decision has been announced at this stage, and there has been no ruling confirming that Mozambique breached any eligibility regulations.
