Reports in France had suggested that Olise was struggling to understand Cherki and was unhappy with the Manchester City attacker’s attitude while the pair were on international duty.
Cherki was quick to reject the claims on social media.
“Another made-up story… What an imagination…” he wrote on X.
The reports came despite the pair combining effectively on the pitch in France’s 4-1 win over Belgium on Monday.
Olise set up Cherki to score France’s second goal and then added two goals of his own as Didier Deschamps’ side produced an impressive performance.
Their understanding in the match offered a very different picture from the reports of tension between the two players.
France will return to action against Italy at San Siro in Milan on Thursday, November 12.
