Kaizer Chiefs Ready To Change Someone's Life Through The Sta'Playa Program

Kaizer Chiefs’ commercial and marketing director Jessica Motaung says they are excited with the possibility of changing someone’s life through the Sta’Playa program.

Chiefs and Orlando Pirates’ betting partner, SuperSportBet, launched the Sta’Playa program through their online gaming slots Amakhosi Cash and Bucs Gold Rush.

Few Days Before The Ultimate Winner Is Announced

The ultimate reward for the lucky winner on either Amakhosi Cash or Bucs Gold Rush is set to be a brand new furnitured house worth R2 Million, which will be built in Soweto.

The winner will be announced live on SuperSport on August 7.

However, since the launch of the program, lucky, active subscribers who were betting on games courtesy of Amakhosi Cash or Bucs Gold Rush have been winning big.

As such, by the time the weekly giveaway competition ended on week 20 (July 13- July 20), since the launch, SuperSportBet had forked out more than R300 000 worth of prizes.

These included the regalia of the two clubs courtesy of their technical sponsors, Adidas and Kappa, Pirates and Chiefs’ Old School Shirts, Samsung, Apple and Sportscene gadgets.

So, with only a few days before the ultimate house winner is announced, active subscribers can still earn 10 bonus points for every R10 staked on Bucs Gold Rush and Amakhosi Cash.

Chiefs Ready To Change Someone’s Life

Motaung, meanwhile, has opened up on what it’d mean for the club to change someone’s life if the ultimate winner of the house comes courtesy of Amakhosi Cash.

“SupersportBet is making sure that we can change someone’s life - someone could win a home, and that’s important for us,” Motaung said.

“Our supporters give a lot, so we want to make sure that they are part of getting something back.

“So, [a huge] thank you to our sponsors for making sure that our supporters can get something back as well.”

Chiefs Roll Out The New Jerseys

Motaung, who was speaking at the Taung Village on Monday on the sidelines of the launch of their new jerseys for next season, revealed the details behind the designs.

“Home [jersey] is about going back to jersey - the classic collar which we never had since we united with Kappa. So, I am very excited about that,” Moutaung said.

“It’s something that is very bold and strong. The sleeve is really giving us that African print - that says we are ready to fight for anything on the continent.

“And obviously, going with the grey and gold [in the away jersey]. We haven’t done grey in a long time. So, we are also looking for something on the combat side.

“The jersey is not just about playing, it represents. It represents the cultural streets of South Africa, and the continent.”

Chiefs Putting Final Details In Their Pre-Season Preparations

Chiefs’ fans will get to see the players don the new jerseys on Saturday when they face Asante Kototo of Ghana in the Toyota Cup at Moses Mabhida in Durban.

This friendly, which will also see one lucky fan drive away in a brand new Toyota car, adds to what has been an intense pre-season for Chiefs in terms of their preparations.

Amakhosi recently touched back in South Africa after being away on a three-week tour of the Netherlands where they played some top-flight and national first division outfits.

“It’s a new season, and we’ve seen fortunes change last season with winning the Nedbank Cup,” Motaung explained. “So, we are excited for the new season.

“We are preparing for the new season, and the possibilities and making sure that we are ready. So we are excited to launch the jersey.”
