The Brazilian has missed the last six matches through injury, leaving Liverpool short of experience in goal. Slot confirmed on Friday that Alisson is close, but not guaranteed to return in time.
"Ali is close to a return to play, so let's see if tomorrow comes too early, yes or no," Slot said.
There is no such uncertainty surrounding Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been ruled out for the coming weeks after picking up an injury in the recent win over Everton FC. His absence leaves Freddie Woodman on standby to start if Alisson is not passed fit.
"Giorgi will definitely not be available for tomorrow and also not for the upcoming weeks," Slot confirmed. "That leaves, of course, Freddie Woodman as an option, who is definitely fit."
Elsewhere, there was a timely boost in defence with Joe Gomez returning to the squad after missing the Merseyside derby. His availability comes as a relief after Liverpool were left with limited centre-back options last time out.
"Joe is back in the squad, so that's really positive," Slot said. "Last week I only had two centre-backs that were playing and no-one on the bench, so it's really helpful."
Midfielder Wataru Endo remains sidelined, though progress is being made in his recovery from the injury sustained against Sunderland AFC earlier this year.
"Wata is starting to go outside, not with the team yet, but working on the pitch with the rehab team," Slot explained. "He is making steps, but he will not be available next week or the week after."
Liverpool are hopeful Endo will return before the end of the season, offering further depth as the campaign reaches its decisive stage.
