Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly been monitoring the 19-year-old, with claims that Arsenal have even made him available to both clubs. However, Lewis-Skelly is said to favour remaining in north London.
His future has become a talking point after his role diminished during Arsenal's Premier League title-winning campaign. Lewis-Skelly started just five league matches in 2025/26, despite being one of the team's standout young players the previous season.
He also featured from the outset in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, though Arsenal ultimately lost on penalties.
The defender and midfielder signed a long-term deal at the Emirates last summer, following an impressive breakthrough campaign. He famously scored during Arsenal's 5-1 victory over Manchester City and appeared to taunt Erling Haaland after their earlier confrontation.
Lewis-Skelly was back among the goals in Arsenal's final pre-season outing, netting in a 1-1 draw with Como before making a gesture towards the home supporters.
Arteta said outside interest in the player should be viewed positively, but did not clarify Arsenal's intentions. The Gunners now turn their attention to Sunday's Community Shield meeting with Manchester City.
"It is good to score a goal, you should be emotional," said Arteta.
"He is a very emotional player, remember when he did the hand gestures (celebrating against City).
"I don't want to talk about any speculation. If there is speculation about any of our players it is a good sign. It means what we are attracting interest and we are doing a good job."
