The France international has agreed a three-year deal that will keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2029, returning to the reigning European champions after eight years in England. The 33-year-old left-back is expected to challenge Nuno Mendes for a regular starting role.
"I am very honoured to be returning to Paris St-Germain following the wonderful experience I had here more than ten years ago," said Digne.
"I am particularly impressed by how the club has developed over the years."
Digne previously spent three seasons with PSG, making 30 appearances before joining Barcelona in 2016. His latest spell in England began when he moved to Aston Villa from Everton in 2022.
He was part of Villa's squad that lifted the Europa League last season, securing the club's first major trophy since 1996. His departure makes him the third senior player to leave Villa Park this summer, following Morgan Rogers' move to Chelsea and Youri Tielemans' switch to Manchester United.
Digne now returns to a PSG side that have established themselves as the dominant force in Europe. The French club have captured the Champions League in successive seasons, with their latest success coming in 2026 when they overcame Arsenal on penalties in the final.
As winners of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League last season, PSG and Aston Villa meet this week in the UEFA Super Cup in Salzburg, with Digne possibly in line for a start against his former club.
