Truter was brought into save the club from relegation with one game of their South African top-flight season to play and guided his team to a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
That result saw them end their season in 13th place and allow Truter to begin planning for next season.
Reflecting on his short time at the club, having become their sixth coach this term, Truter explained that he signed a contract for the upcoming campaign upon his arrival.
"Yeah, there was a lengthy discussion with the club, the former Richards Bay boss said on FARPost.
"The discussion was around the next season and starting the pre-season. There's no use coming here for one game."
"So we agreed contractually that I will be here next season, starting with the pre-season. So coming in, there is a principle and an identity to grow the club.
"And with a lot of changes of coaches in the past years at Chippa, you see what's lacking. If you look at previous games, you see a lack of structure because if you have five to six coaches during the season, everyone comes with ideas of how football should be played, and there are a lot of adjustments for the players.
"Chippa is one of the teams that didn't go for a break during the 2025 [AFCON], we have to be mindful of that so that we don't suffer a burnout [in the next season]."
Chippa's coaches for the 2025/26 season before Truter include Sinethemba Badela, Musa Nyatama, Luc Eymael, Vusumuzi Vilakazi and Hlanga Dikeni.
