The Citizens drew 1-1 with Magesi on Wednesday to condemn them to a last place finish on the play-off table and another season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
City released a statement confirming the departure of the Dutch head coach following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
“The club would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to Jan Vreman, who will depart his role as Head Coach at the end of the 25/26 season," read the statement.
"Jan took charge during an important and difficult period for the club and led the team with great professionalism and dedication. Under his guidance, we finished second in the league, narrowly missing out on a magical immediate repromotion.
"Although we did not quite get over the line, Jan’s commitment to the club, the players and the project was clear throughout. His selfless work, leadership, and humility have revived the club – setting us once again in the right direction for the future."
The Western Cape squad will now look to strengthen their squad as they attempt promotion to the top-flight division for the second consecutive season since relegation.
