Former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste signs for Motsepe Foundation Championship side Highbury

The 34-year-old was one of a number of players released by Stellies ahead of the upcoming Betway Premiership campaign.

Formally of Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows, Jooste played for Pirates between 2020 and 2022 ahead of a switch to Durban City.

He also turned out for AmaZulu and joins the ambtious National First Divison side after just 12 appearances for Stellenbosch.

"A proud son of Port Elizabeth, Wayde returns to the Eastern Cape after an accomplished career in the Betway Premiership. Capable of playing at right back and right wing, he brings experience, versatility, and quality to our squad.
