Mcedi Vandala (8', 77'), Godfrey Mashigo (13'), Lehlegonolo Mokone (18') and Kgothatso Mariba (64') were all on target at the Seshego Stadium, with Jean Lwamba (11', 26') bagging a brace for Durban.
The result saw Magesi move from 16th place to 14th with 20 points from 25 games, one clear of bottom-side Orbit College and level with Marumo Gallants in 15th place.
Speaking after the game, a delighted Freese said his team are headed in the "right direction".
"That was our aim today, today's aim was let's move away from there and we did. So, I'm very happy about that," Freese said on iDiski Times.
"It gives us good hope that we are going to the right direction, very good hope that we are going to the right direction.
"So, we should continue working the way we are working."
