This news comes following a poor run of results and the Rockets languishing in 12th place on the Betway Premiership standings with five game of their season still to play.
According to SABC Sport: "The decision comes in the wake of Sunday’s home defeat to Richards Bay FC, which left The Rockets with nine losses in their last 10 league matches and only collecting just a single point in that stretch since returning to action post AFCON."
Despite their wretched league form, the club enjoyed a fantastic run in the Nedbank Cup and are set to face Durban City in the final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on May 2nd.
"It is not yet clear who will take over in the interim but indications are that assistant coach Bernard Parker could be installed as the caretaker in the five crucial games that remain – including the cup final," added the publication.
Galaxy finished in an impressive fifth place last season but were unable to replicate that kind of league form after losing a number of key players to local rivals, while also coping with a FIFA ban that prevented them from registering new signings.
The club most recently lost players mid-season as winger Puso Dithejane moved to Chicago Fire and centre-back Khulumani Ndamane joined Mamelodi Sundowns, both in the January transfer window.
