The recently concluded transfer window saw Manchester City top the overall spending table, with a whopping £440.3m followed by Chelsea [£342.4m] and Spurs third [£334m].
However, Liverpool led the total net spending table [£219.4m], with Ipswich Town second [£190.7m], followed by Tottenham Hotspur [£176m] and Arsenal [£136.6m] following several notable departures at the respective clubs.
Here are our five top signings for the 2026/27 EPL campaign:
Enzo Fernandez [Chelsea to Man City] - £125 million
The Argentine midfielder, 25, had been linked with a move to Real Madrid during the World Cup but has now joined Manchester City on a five-year contract for a joint record fee in the Premier League.
His signing will boost the Citizens midfield quality following the departure of key players Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Tijjani Reijnders and Nico Gonzalez, while adding his goalscoring ability to an expensively assembled squad.
Bradley Barcola [PSG to Liverpool] - £106 million
The France forward was a long-time target for the Reds before finally completing a move to Anfield on a five-year contract after making just 23 starts in 49 appearances for PSG last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.
The 24-year-old will be looking to get an increase in game time as key attacker alongside Sweden star Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo after having been condemned to mostly a substitute role for Paris Saint-Germain under coach Luis Enrique.
Morgan Rogers [Aston Villa to Chelsea] - £117 million
The England attacker has already made an impression at Stamford Bridge following his debut goal in a 3-2 victory against Fulham in their Premier League opener and an assist in his second win against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 24-year-old impressed last season with the Villans, scoring 14 goals while providing 12 assists in 55 matches in all competitions and will be looking for a bigger contribution this season in a quality Chelsea squad under boss Xabi Alonso.
He has joined on a seven-year contract which runs until 2033.
Ayyoub Bouaddi [Lille to Man City] - £81.3 million
The Moroccan teenager, 18, impressed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, drawing the attention of a number of big European sides before deciding to join Manchester City on a five-year deal.
He will be competing alongside new recruits Enzo Fernandes and Elliot Andersen in the midfield, having already made his debut as an 82nd minute substitute in the recent 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
Gonzalo Garcia [Real Madrid to Fulham] - £25.8 million
The Spaniard's move to the Cottagers on a five-year deal was somewhat of surprise move given the pedigree Garcia had shown during his time at Real Madrid despite struggling for game time.
Garcia, 22, has hit the ground running as the main striker at his new club, scoring two goals in three matches since his move to join former Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa and is arguably the top signing outside of the traditional 'top six' sides in the league.
