The Buccaneers advanced to their fifth consecutive top eight cup final following a dominant performance at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday, with in-form Lungu grabbing the second goal of the match.
Moroccan head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou hailed the Zambian attacker, who has scored three goals and provided one assist for the Soweto giants since joining the club from Siwelele.
"He has integrated very well, he's giving his best," said Ouaddou after the match.
"I always say you [have] short or long time for recruits [to adjust] when coming into a new club, but with him we opened our heart to him, and he was part of the family – it's like he's been here long a time."
AmaBhakaniya have lost key players this season but have continued to produce positive results in the league and cup with the coach acknowledging the need to find a suitable playing style for the new players.
"We had very good profiles with [Relebohile] Mofokeng, with Tito [Patrick Maswanganyi] and for a coach it's not easy to lose these kinds of profiles but it's life," the 47-year-old told iDiski Times.
"It's the life of football, like I said I wish them all the best but now the life of the club must move on.
"We have to use the profiles to find a system that is suitable – we wanted to play fast with intensity, with these new profiles, but the most important for me is how we can limit touches in crowded areas where there is lots of pressure."
Pirates will turn their attention to Tuesday's clash away to PSL newcomers Kruger United.
